Cancer Risk Assessment FAQ
Does my insurance cover this service?
With reasonable indications for this expanded consultation, most insurance companies will cover the visit. It is always good to verify your insurance coverage and if prior authorization is necessary.
What type of information do I need to bring to the appointment?
You will be sent a packet when your appointment is scheduled to complete and bring with you. You are asked to provide as much family history as possible.
Do you provide BRACA testing?
Yes.
Why do I need so many visits?
There are stages to the assessment, evaluating the risks and hereditary factors, deciding which testing would be most beneficial and then discussing the results. This typically requires 2-3 one hour visits.
